I’m going to be having another meeting with the boys Monday Nov 16th @ lunch time in Coach Aldingers Room, Please have your boys bring there lunch and been on time, as lunch will not be provided for them this time.

We will be meeting so I can hand out the order forms for our Annual “Pasta for Pennies” Dinner Auction which is schedule for December 4th at 6:30 in the MHS Cafeteria. I’m handing out the order form instead of tickets this year to help save on cost, All you need to do is fill it out with Name and how many people will be attending and attach the check. Each wrestler need to sell 2 tickets and give us 2 donation items. The ticket prices are $20.00 for a family of 4 or $6.00 each, this event is very family friendly so we encourage everyone to come and have a good time. You can bring grandma, grandpa, your friends, neighbors the more the better.

I’m really nervous about donation items for the auction so I really need to have the boys turn those in ASAP!! They can be anything that we can use in our auction & games i.e… Camping & Fishing items, Dinner tickets, movie tickets, gift certificates for massages, scenty baskets, Italian baskets, BSU stuff, Blankets, homemade crafts etc.. If you own or work at a business that would be willing to donate there services.

We will also be have a dessert auction this year… So if you love to bake and would like to make a dessert please let me know, and I will give you more details.

Thank you to everyone who made it to the meeting last night, I’m very
excited about all the new faces that showed up!! For those of you who
did not make it, I have attached what we went over,The letter from the
Coach along with a updated schedule, booster information. Please make
sure the letter is signed both wrestler and parent and turned into Coach
by the 1st day of practice!!! Everyone needs to sign it.

The boys who ordered spirit packs last night, I need you to turn your
money into Coach Aldinger by Monday Nov 2nd, so I get them ordered and
have them back in time for the 1st day of practice. If you did not get
to order please call me so I can get your size. If Monday does not work
please call me to make arrangements I really don’t want anyone to go
with out.

I just wanted to remind everyone about the Mandatory Player/Parent Meeting tomorrow 10/28 for Wrestling @ 7:00pm in the MHS South Cafeteria. We have allot of things to go over regarding the up coming season! We will be going over what is expected from each wrestler this year, Jeremy will be there to talk to us, fundraising, and ordering our “sprit packs” We would like to get the order placed ASAP so the boys will have them back in time for team pictures which is Nov 25th. This year we will be doing a Jacket, T-shirt, Pants, I will have order sheets that night for you along with the cost. ( FYI these are not mandatory but would like each wrestler to have one so when we show up at matches we look sharp as a team!)

For those of you who have JV Football Players, I understand the Game has been changed from Thurs to Weds, so I will understand why the boy are not there, they need to see me after the game or by Friday so they don’t get left out of the ordering.

Also when the Butter Braid order went out I did not realize 11/5 is not a school day, so please plan on turning them in to Coach Alindger or myself by 11/4 instead. If you need more time you need to let me know ASAP!

Back by popular demand!

Yes we will be hosting another wrestling clinic in the wrestling room at Meridian High School October 31st 9:00 am – 10:30 am. This is for all Meridian Middle School wrestlers and Meridian High School wrestlers. Please enter through the South West doors to get into the wrestling room. Coach Hall will be covering breakdowns and pinning combinations. If you have any questions please call Coach Briggs 846-9245.

Hello Everyone,

I had a meeting with the boys & Coach at lunch today and handed out our
1st fundraiser of the new season. In case the packet never make it home to you Please call Tina.

Our goal this year is to have each wrestler sell 25-30 braids, I think
this should be really easy, Please make sure they are trying there best
to sell. Ask family, neighbors, co-workers, there is a flyer in the
packet so you can get free samples to take to work or with you door to
door, Please take advantage of this! Once people try them they will be
addicted! If we can get all 30 or so wrestlers to sell 30, we will
profit $3600.00 that is a 1/4 of our budget this year.

Also Please don’t forget about our Mandatory Parent/Player meeting Oct
28th @ 7:00pm in the South Cafeteria. We will be going over the schedule
for this year, practice dates, getting correct parent information,
changes to out of town tournaments, and fundraising for the Pasta for
Pennies.
